Once you open the Photoshop file, start by creating a new document. Select File New, and open the window shown in Figure 3-6. From the Photoshop menu, select Document New. By default, the new document opens with the Close Screen on the left side and the name of the image on the right.

Photoshop has no set page size or resolution; instead, you control them. To do so, choose File File Setup (Windows) or Photoshop Preferences (Mac). In the window that opens, you can change the size of the image, as shown in Figure 3-7.

You can also control the resolution of the image. For example, if you want to print the image on a laser printer, you should set the resolution to 300 dots per inch (DPI). If you send an image to a newspaper, you should set the resolution to 72 DPI (most newspapers have resolution of about 200 DPI). For web purposes, you should set the resolution to 72 DPI. You also have options for the resolution of the layers. Be aware that you can lose information if you set the resolution too high. What do I need for Photoshop Elements?

You may not need a specific model of a camera or an external monitor. But you need at least a laptop or desktop computer and a version of Adobe Photoshop Elements in order to run the program.

You must have a user account on Adobe Photoshop Elements. This feature is free for a 30-day trial, but after that, you have to purchase the application to use it.

You need at least an 8 GB hard drive to install the program. You can’t install the version of Adobe Photoshop Elements on a thumb drive or an external hard drive.

You may need to download the Adobe Photoshop Elements Toolbox and the DVD version of Photoshop Creative Suite in order to fully use Photoshop Elements. You can download these components from the Adobe website.

How to use Adobe Photoshop Elements with Mac and PC?

If you use Windows or a Mac as your computer, you need to install Adobe Photoshop Elements on both machines. In macOS, you can install the software by opening the application directly from the Mac App Store.

You need to download the disk image of the application from the Adobe website and install it on a removable disk, an external hard drive, or a flash drive.

As with any other program, you can install the program on multiple machines. But you have to download the same disk image for each computer.

You can install the program in offline mode as well. In this mode, you can download the software in the background and use it while on a plane or on a train or in an Internet cafe.

If you are using macOS Sierra or macOS High Sierra, you don’t have to install Adobe Photoshop Elements separately. But you have to download the right Adobe Photoshop Elements application.

Brushes that have a "tolerance" (such as the Burn and Dodge brushes) are useful for editing images. Their tolerance setting allows you to subtly change pixels within a pre-defined area, which is useful for correcting minor mistakes.

If you are a novice Photoshop user and would like to learn about the Brush tool quickly, the steps are as follows:

1. Open up a new file in Photoshop and go to the Brush or Pen icon.

The Eraser tool is designed to allow you to smoothly erase a specific area of an image. If a border is highlighted in a photo, you can use the Eraser tool to remove it.

To erase a specific area:

1. Go to the Eraser tool and click on the Eraser button.
2. A window will open with the tool options. A border can be highlighted (shown in yellow) to aid in erasing.
3. Use the Eraser tool to remove the selected pixels.

Erasing a Range of Pixels:

1. Go to the Eraser tool and click on the Eraser button.
2. Click anywhere in an image to highlight a range of pixels. The highlighted area is shown in yellow.
3. Using the left and right arrows, drag the mouse and use the left and right mouse buttons.
4. Use the Eraser tool to remove the selected pixels.

I have this code






When I run it my browser hangs for about 20 seconds before loading the page completely.
It is just a sample of what I have but I also have more in place.
Is this code safe or does it create memory leaks?
